In high school I took Illustrator and loved it, it was something I definitely wanted to continue in the future. The library had many options of books with Illustrations. I took out ‘Handbook of Illustration’. In class Randall said it was okay if you are not a good drawer, So I think this book good be good for someone if they want help with that part of art. Also in my class I did ads, logos, posters, and magazine covers. This helped to think about what category of design I could possibly be interested in. ‘Letterhead Logo Design’ was a book I found that gave plenty of examples of logos on business cards and envelopes, which is something I made in high school. Reading through chapter 1 Advertising Design is something I’m interested in because it deals with working in the media and marketing. When I was thinking about doing this major I really wanted the business aspect with it. I found a book called ‘The Art of Creative Advertising’ that had plenty of examples that interested me.

Environmental Design
Environmental Design is seems very cool. I have thought about this also. Being able to design in buildings and working closely with architects. Lastly I thought Publication Design would fit for me. Magazines are seen every where even around the world. Reading in the chapter under this it said Publication included travel, business, entertainment, and fashion which are all things I really would like to do.

This website is for erik kowalski. He is an artist and a professor. He teaches classes such as graphic design and web sign and on his page he has incredible work. There is so much going on in them and are very abstract some even have phrases that are interesting.

This is a website where published and talented designs, advertisements and photography are posted to inspire and aspire young artist. I enjoyed it a lot it has beautiful magazine covers and book covers that some of you are interested in.

 

This is a very cool website, its intriguing as soon as you pull it up. LUST is a graphic design establishment that started in 1996 in the Netherlands. They have a very broad spectrum of media. They are very interested in exploring new pathways of design.
