Find two designers in chapter 2 of the book Guide to Graphic Design whose work interests you and research their work. Find out about these designers. Where did they work and when? What design issues were they interested in and how did their work reflect their ideas?

Compare
Compare two specific works (one by each designer) that have a visual, typographic or conceptual resonance. How do these works relate to each other? Is one of them clearly based on, or in response to the other? Find and articulate their relationship to each other. The works need not look similar. It is more interesting actually if you find works from very different time periods that speak to a similar idea.
