Read all of chapter one of the class text and choose 2-3 areas of graphic design that interest you as a career path.

Write at least 300 words about what interest you about these fields and why you think they are a good fit for you.

We will discuss in class so read the chapter carefully and be prepared.

Go to the library and find references in books to your areas of interest.

Select 1 book (or more) to bring to class and share.

Search
Find three excellent sites, videos, and/or portfolios of designers reference in the book that are in your area of interest.

Bring your chosen book from the library. Bookmark pages that have specific examples. Be prepared to talk about them.

Login and create post on the class site containing:

Your areas of interest response.

The name of the book(s) you researched with photographs of a few examples. Cell phone pictures are fine but hold the camera steady with good light (pref. daylight).

Three great web links of designers or studios that specialize in your field of interest. Write a short description above the link with the name of the site and what is there.

A draft of your complete post is due Thursday, August 28.
