Designing in general would be so different if color didn’t exist. Designers use colors to convey moods, make things stand out, differentiate and connect, and highlight and hide. The most interesting part of the reading was talking about the different colors on the color wheel. I enjoyed learning about the primary colors, secondary colors, tertiary colors, compliments, analogous and hues. One cool thing about primary colors is that you can’t mix other colors to create it. I think its so cool with the science of color is that we learned about it by reflecting light. This changes how I look at color because a lot more goes into color than it just being a color. It’s not just red or green or blue, there is a lot of science that goes into it rather than it being just a color. After reading about color, it made me realize how much of a massive play color has in design. I will definitely try to pay more attention to color as I finish up the semester.
