Personal response
I liked the film Helvetica. One of the things that I liked about the film Helvetica is that it opened my eyes to realize that fonts are part of our everyday life. I liked that this documentary gives everyone a chance to speak their mind, while the filmmaker doesn’t directly come out and state his personal opinion. I think helvetica is somehow important because whether we pay attention to them or not, they influence the way we read and perceive texts.
Neville Brody

“The way something is presented will define the way you react to it”.
I totally agree with what he said because if you don’t put effort in making a good presentation, the audience won’t have a good reaction to it.

David Carson

“Don’t confuse legibility with communication. Just because something is legible doesn’t mean it communicates and, more importantly, doesn’t mean it communicates the right thing”.
This quote stood out to me because I totally agree that just because something is legible doesn’t mean it communicates. It’s much better to read or look at something that communicates with you, rather than something just legible.

“Everywhere you look you see typefaces. But there’s one you probably see more than any other one, and that’s Helvetica”
This quote shows how Helvetica is present in our daily life. I personally didn’t know the differences of typefaces until I watched the documentary.
