Agree or Disagree?<\/h2>\n
I completely agree with the perspective of teaching from your own perspective as a student. It is all about finding the right set of limits and challenges to create the motivation and drive from a student. When you can do this the student can run with their creativity. I know I have been given assignments before that are very straight forward and I get them done and turned in, but they are nothing other than what is asked. When given certain challenges and creative limits I find myself running with my ideas and creating 10x what I created even if the assignment may have been the same.<\/p>\n

As with everything, I think balance is a key idea that must be found between too much leniency and too many rules, but once this balance is found it’s crazy what you can come up with. In the article, Rand mentions the crossword puzzle. This is a perfect example of a balance that drives human creativity. We want to solve the puzzle and we find fulfillment in doing this. It challenges our brain and makes us think, but that only makes it more interesting. This is such an important idea to understand and use when learning, and I think this article made it easy to understand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
