Designers use color to make things stand out, convey different moods, to differentiate and connect, and highlight and hide. The most interesting part of the three readings were the different types of colors on the color wheel. I love learning about the full color wheel and everything else in between in it. Such as the primary colors, secondary colors, tertiary colors, compliments, analogous, and hues. I just find the science behind it so interesting. For example no other colors can be mixed to create any of the primary colors. The secondary colors are mixes of the primary colors and tertiary colors are made by mixing one primary and one secondary. This information makes me think, how did someone come up with all of this? How was this figured out. Because color is only seen when light is reflected off of it, and just the aspect of color is so surreal and interesting. This changes the way I think about color because of the fact that so much more goes into a color. It’s not just a red, or a blue, there is so much science that goes into it and much more thinking than we are led to believe. It will make me think about color in design more and the careful placement some designers choose because of each color’s background and characteristics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Color is such an important part of design.
