I think that framing is a lot more important than we realize. As the chapter in the book explains, framing is everywhere. Even when using your phone and computer there is a frame around the actual device itself but also around everything you use on your devices. It gets to the point with everything that you just stop noticing the frames that are surrounding things you see every day. These frames help organize and instruct you to think certain things about what you are looking at. I really enjoyed and can relate to, the topic of framing within a technological space, like on your computer. When you take a step back after reading about framing and look at the computer you are using there is framing everywhere. There is a black border surrounding the screen itself, but then also every window you use has a frame, and there is an application bar. It almost disappears after using it for so long, but when thinking about it it becomes so overwhelming.<\/p>\n
Language can help frame things by instructing you on how to think about what you are looking at. When reading something you assume the artwork you are looking at involves what the phrase is talking about. The piece of art could be framed with sad words, making it sadder, or framed with exciting words, making you see it as more exciting.<\/p>\n
Windows and doors are usually literally framed with the owner’s choice of color and style to add a specific feeling to the home or room they are in. In modern houses, these doors and windows may not be framed to allow them to flow from floor to ceiling to wall to window effortlessly. This refers to a full bleed where the design seems to flow right off of the page and into reality.
