Two of the biggest things that we see in our daily lives are two of my favorite styles of graphic design. One of the reasons that I love graphic design is that it has become a really fun hobby. I have always enjoyed making logos, marketing materials and posters for businesses, events and so much more. I hope to take the skills that I learn from this class to become even better at this hobby. My two favorite types of graphic designs are ones that I either have worked on have always admired. The one that I think that I have worked with is Brand & Identity Design. The one I’m always fascinated by is Package Design.<\/p>\n
I think Brand and Identity Design is so cool because there are so many things that we refer to as the brand and not the product. A perfect example is you would ask someone for a Sharpie, even though you are looking for a permanent marker. Another thing that is so cool about this graphic design is that I can show you a logo without text or context and people will know exactly what business it is and what they do. A great example of that is the Pepsi circle. If I were to just show the logo, most people know that Pepsi is a soda company. This design is all around us and I believe that it can be take for granted because it has become so common in everyday. To see some great examples of great Brand Design, check out these websites. One thing to notice about these websites is that in the upper left hand corner, all you see is the symbol from your logo and you can tell exactly what the company is without actually seeing the name.
