Introduction:
Design communication affects how easily people understand something and it also affects the group as a whole. For example, being an architect helps people visually understand the complex sights of the object they’re building. Otherwise a book gives a different perspective on the specific details that building will possess. The simple design like Rafael Esquer transforming a clothing collection bag into a typographic call to action. The idea was so simple yet so clever that they kept it as a laundry bag and sent their clothing donations in plain boxes and bags. The idea of graphic design is to create something innovative and simple that anyone can use and understand. Graphic design has been around for up to 16,000 years ago. People back then created these images for memories, stories, and fears. In the past few decades more students are pursuing a masters degree in graphic design and contributing to the ideas of culture and creativity. For any company to succeed there are certain factors you need for your company to stand out from the rest. This includes building a logo for your brand. This creates a visual identity for viewers to see. It helps advertising and expanding the name of the business. With the world changing in technology everyday, so does graphic design. This creates new exciting challenges graphic designers have to face. Good designers have the ability to create change and meaning into something. They created posters back in the day for music concerts, and the posters had to represent what the music will be about and create the atmosphere for the show. Graphic design is the concept of creating something to either fix a problem or make someone laugh. There are so many different fields in graphic design and share the same concept to create something innovative and creative.
Environmental Design:
Environmental design combines the aspects of planning and creating spaces/structures for other projects. They create a design for indoor and outdoor spaces that has an athletic beauty to them that gives the viewer a feel of harmony with their surroundings. These designers must create a space that is both practical and safe for the customer. They do this with the use of math, physics, drawings, and computer classes. They plan for weeks or months to create a visual to understand the idea of what they’re building. Their work involves places like parks, garden centers, green roofs, courtyards, and public squares. Environmental designers must know audio/visual media including lighting and sound techniques, and interaction design. I believe this would be a good fit for me, because I am very good at interior designing and understanding the concept of what goes where in a project. I think out of the box and plan projects very thoroughly and thoughtfully.
Motion Design:
Motion design is the field in which people add sounds, motion, and time sequencing to pictures and words. They use film making, animation and visual effects to tell a certain message to anyone viewing it. This includes trailers, animations and broadcast identification. They are displayed on television or any media source that wants to show it to the world. The job of a motion designer is really important because many people will visualize your projects and it is important to get a clear message to the people viewing it. This can affect how well the actual product does on the market. Here is a short video of small visual affects motion designers can do.
