I believe that the frame very much influences how something is seen because it lifts the art work into the focus of the viewer. There are many different perspectives of framing something. This can be referred to a picture frame, photography etc. Framing allows us to understand the information the way they want us to. It is all about perceiving what is in front of us. It creates literal and metaphoric guidelines for interpreting something. Framing surrounds us everyday. With images and text if there is no text you can interpret the image however you want, and if there is text it shifts the meaning to something slightly specific. Framing within photography allows for the photographer to place the viewers focus wherever they want it. Adding a border around an image is like a literal frame and it separates the image from the outside world. You can either blend it together or have it be a sharp transition. Language can frame things and allow people to be persuaded by how something is worded. Language framing has a huge impact on decision making because it effects the way you think about something. You can interpret doors and windows are framing metaphors because it creates boundaries between inside and outside.
