Charlotte’s Adventure to Mystic

Come explore the wonderful world of Mystic Aquarium and hear our dive and turtle expert Sharon Teel talk about one of our newest rescues, Charlotte. Charlotte is a 102 year old green sea turtle, was rescued in Cumberland Island, GA, in January of 2018 by the Georgia Sea Turtle Center after being hit by a boat propeller. The injuries to Charlotte’s shell and hind flippers had healed but had left paralysis of hind flippers. Shareon has lead the team of rehabilitators to help Charlotte recover to the point she is at now. She can be seen in the new Turtle exhibit and will be released into the tank for the first time during the show. Sharon will be there to answer questions and talk about the rehabilitation process. This is one of out newest exhibits and we are excited to add Charlotte to our turtle family.
