A Simple Overview of the 5 Classic Typefaces

Read them and respond as a post.

Compare two of the typefaces and explain why they are different and what informs your opinion. It is not good enough to say “I just like it”. Be specific about the type attributes. How are they the same? How are they different? How does the history of the typeface inform your opinion. For example: John Baskerville developed his typeface with thinner serifs to take advantage of the better papers and printing presses. Place in Category 03 Classic Typefaces/Anatomy.
