Graphic Design
Graphic design is a crafts where professionals use pictures and typography to communicate messages to people about specific subjects. Graphic design has been apart of the common culture even as far back at 16,000 years ago from early cave paintings. There is many different types of graphic design that different types of people prefer. There is corporate design, environmental design, motion design, interaction design, type design, publication design, book design, book jacket design, signage design, brand and identity design, package design, information design, collateral design, and advising design.
Book Jacket Design
One type of design is that interest me a lot is called book jacket design. Book jacket design is the design of the front of a book cover. This type of graphic design interest me because it causes you to think very creatively about the image on texts on the cover. There is lots of different stuff you can do with the anatomy of a book cover whether its meaning behind an image or text there is many different types of book jacket design.
Advertising Design
Another type of graphic design is called advertising design. Advertising design is about people making creative but also informative ideas about something. There goal is to get your attention and have you buy the product. I find it interesting because I like how you have to think well outside the box to think of something new or exciting to get someone’s attention.
