Concept of Space
Emptiness is when treated as a full partner in design becomes dynamic along with an original visual idea is what makes great design. Active space is space that has been consciously planned. It is not simply there. It has an active role in the design.
The concept of space has informed my eye by explaining that everything has a meaning of why it’s there and how it is supposed to mean/interpret. A good design should be as simple as possible. The person looking at the design should not know she is reading the picture or the design should be effortless. I find this interesting because these designs are sometimes in our daily life and we just know what it is trying to say without even looking into it. This also interests me that designers know certain things that catch people’s eyes and know where to place and put certain materials and ideas in exact places. Because again in design everything is there for a reason nothing is randomly placed. Like white space, white space shows off the subject. To show that space attracts readers when you read a song or listen you can see that there is visual texture. There are also visual dividers that make it possible to count the number of songs and estimate the length to make cues for when you record the song. These are a couple of reasons why the concept of space interests me.
