Below I go over 6 of the 11 Principles of Design, and provide visual examples of each.
Unity
I enjoy looking at designs of unity because it gives you a visual of things that come together. This type of design is interesting especially when different shapes and elements can fit together nicely. Or also when a group of the same object is just put together to flow, just like in the picture example. It also looks like people which is awesome because it shows people coming together.

White Space
I love the principle that is “White Space”, because you could either look at the white space or look away from it. This can create two different visuals and everyone will look at it differently. Some people may focus on this white space while others look at the objects in place, I find that interesting.

Balance
A great example of balance that I love is the ying and yang design. This just shoes you how two elements can come together and create one object of balance. It looks very simple and understood. It is elements complementing each other.

Movement
In my opinion the concept of movement is visually pleasing when done correctly. It is a design that guides your eyes to a path that feels like it is in motion. Simply mesmerizing.

Contrast
Designs of contrast have to be my absolute favorite because of love things that are so “random”, it will just look so cool while being so unusual. Contrast is a design of variety in shapes, sizes, and colors.

Repetition
As stated in its name “repetition” is the repeat of elements that brings the composition to having arrangements of many similar components. This can be seen as a pattern, which is awesome because I feel like a pattern to me almost “has the right” to repeat for as long as it wants, paint it on the whole wall!
