Framing

The concept of framing is something that I was very unfamiliar with. When reading the passages, I understood more about how the framework of art pieces helps elevate them and their design. This could be quite literally with a stage to set the piece on top of. As for everything in life, others have their own opinions about the framework, and some artist enjoy their masterpiece being secure and enhanced by a border. Other artist want to accept that their design doesn’t need anything to be added to it. They want to leave the piece frameless and let it speak for itself. Language is a type of framework as well. Speaking in certain tones can indicate someone’s mood, allowing someone else to frame their decisions or responses based upon that tone. A door or a window can be used as a framework. The border around the window or a door can capture what is happening in the background, like a road with cars passing or even a family member pulling in the driveway. You see murals of windows being used to create depth within a room, making it feel larger than it seems. The door framework can be sturdy and strong, indicating that the house is built with integrity. It can also portray what is inside the house, like a successful and happy family.
