The six principle designs I find interesting and appealing are. Unity because I like how it looks very clean and simple. I also like it because you can achieve many designs using this principle of design.
I like white space because you might be creating something that the customer or person can see something totally different. Depending on if you look at the white and blank space.
Rhythm is cool because you can make many patterns with your design. And people can receive what the rhythm is of the picture to make them feel different.
Movement is fun to the eye. Designers can make the design look like it’s moving too you or moving far away. It can also mean that it has all kinds of texture and movement making it just interesting.
Repetition is very consistent and makes nice designs out of just the same design and brings it all of the same design together. And it is fun to make patterns and make a whole new design or the same print.
Lastly, contrast creates an emphasis on the design making it bold and evident to the person’s eye. It also can make anything different will all fiends of colors and shapes.
What I learned about the theory is that it emphasizes that the whole of anything is greater than its parts. That is, the attributes of the whole are not deducible from analysis of the parts in isolation. The goal of Gestalt therapy is to teach people to become aware of significant sensations within themselves and their environment so that they respond fully and reasonably to situations.
