The design and the play
One thing I learned about graphic design that I didn’t know before while reading this is that you can make very interesting and beautiful pieces with very uninteresting objects. You can use boring shapes and make them into really cool things. It’s really interesting to think how many different pieces come from very small and not detailed things. I agree with what the author said about teaching because it is two sided. A teacher can’t teach if the student doesn’t want to learn and a student can’t learn if the teacher doesn’t teach well. The teacher needs to teach in a way to make the students interact. I also liked how the author used “playing a game” as an example of what he meant. When he used this expression I understood so much easier. With my experience I like when teachers teach interactively and get everyone involved. I have a class where the teacher makes everyone talk and the class is really enjoyable because it isn’t the same people talking all the time and we all enjoy being involved. I also liked how they described how so many different things can explain creativity and can get your mind thinking in new ways. Once you start thinking creatively its so much easier to make things into beautiful things. Overall I learned something new about graphic design and I learned a lot about teaching styles and about how students learn.
