The Design + The play
I find it particularly interesting how they discussed that design can be used to problem solve using geometric shapes. This idea had never occurred to me before now and it was a thought-provoking thing to learn. I found the crossword puzzle paragraph to be really interesting. I had never considered that the reason the puzzle is set up that way is because of our innate need to solve and figure out the unknown. The psychology behind that is what interested me the most. I also liked how simple the pieces were and how they explained why they were like that. The simplicity of the piece with the psychology/reasoning behind it was something I really enjoyed reading. The ability to create such simple pieces with a lot of thought and care behind them is something I found myself being impressed by in this reading. For example, the grid piece and how that represented discipline from all of their burdens. I was shocked to find out the meaning behind it because, at first glance, it just seems like a simple grid. The meaning gives the piece depth. Out of all the pieces there, the grid was my favorite simply because of the intensity of the meaning behind it. Overall, I really enjoyed this reading and learning everything that I did.
