Project 7 (Part 2): Color Reading

When looking at the reading I enjoyed the visual layout they provided of colors on different backgrounds.  While it is the same three colored rings, each different background would give that color a new form whether it was a pop, fade, contrast, etc. As much as I do love Christmas and the holiday season, I’m not a fan of when people use certain contrast colors together (especially blue and yellow).  I realized I pick a lot of colors for different things based on the psychological mood each color conveys.  I love subtle greens and yellows, but am not a huge fan of the angry red or sad blues.  I knew a little bit about the color system and the whole color wheel scenario, but I never thought of a computer screen having a completely different color spectrum than what a printer or paint colors may use.  With photography and taking photos, I’ve played around with saturation, hue, tint, shading, etc.  However, when picking color pallets for this new project I noticed how much I enjoy messing around with different tints compared to everything else.  I did learn what a chroma is (the relation of grey to a pure hue), and I think that going forth I’m going to like playing around with that especially because it can easily relate to tints.
