My thought process usually is that I might need it at a later date. This creates a lot of clutter in my bedroom back at home. I&#8217;m also someone who hates bland walls which results in almost every inch of my walls covered in some form of art. As the years went on, my room just became a mass collection of random objects\/trinkets and an art collection on my walls.<\/p>\n<p>I had to step back during quarantine and really think about what I need and what I simply just want. Since then I&#8217;ve created active space on my desk and bookshelf which showcases\/holds only my bare necessities. The active space on my desk really helps when I&#8217;m trying to work because it puts me in the right mindset for what I need to do. The active space on my bookshelf helps by making my recently decreased collection of trinkets more aesthetically pleasing to those who enter my room. My walls, I&#8217;m afraid will never be an active space as the sight of plainness bothers me but I have gotten better at placing my art so that it is still aesthetically pleasing to the eye.\u00a0By clearing off my desk and bookshelf, I made the room feel bigger and more open.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m the type of person to collect things, even if it doesn&#8217;t have a use for them at the moment.
