I love to fill empty space.\u00a0 When I look at a blank area I think, “Yeah it’s\u00a0modern,\u00a0<\/em>but it could be filled with a small object that brings more of your personality.”\u00a0 I was able to take my spaced out polka-dot note book, and use a green paint pen to add a smooth flow-like design to it.\u00a0 Now I love it! I was able to go from girly to a more retro look just by filling the empty space with some colorful patterns.<\/p>\n In my dorm room there is a clear difference between the plain white wall I have versus the rest of the room filled with posters, pictures, and mirrors.\u00a0 However, when I turn on my projector, suddenly the white wall of empty space becomes just as much active as the rest of the room.<\/p>\n I have a yellow poster that’s on my wall, for the most part it’s only a giant yellow sheet of paper except for the bottom corner where it has a quote in black letters.\u00a0 The yellow coloring is empty space compared to the wording, yet I’d consider it to be a good use of space because your eyes are drawn to the pop of color compared to the boring white walls.\u00a0 Plus now after reading this it’s like once you see spacing that’s empty vs active, you can’t really unsee it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" When the author made the analogy of how perception is similar to looking for beach glass, a lot of the info was finally starting to click.\u00a0 Plus I was able to relate to being back at home that’s the best… Continue Reading
