Both fonts provide similar meanings to whatever it&#8217;s used for, but they both also have different meanings. Didot is much more &#8220;elegant&#8221; of a font given the this strokes and thicker edges. It is named after the Didot Family who were famous printers and type producers. Therefore, they knew what they were trying to accomplish when creating this font. As for Helvetica, it was made by Max Miedinger. He created this font because he wanted something that was clear to read and gave no additional meaning to whatever text it is an it is straight to the point.
