I found the articles to be very interesting. One thing I learned about brand that I did not know before was the process brands go through to recreate their brand. It states that the brand must decide which parts of the original brand must be saved to keep equity. It also states that they must choose whether the change should be evolutionary or revolutionary. This makes sense, as you wouldn’t want to take something well-known out of your brand. For instance, Target is well-known for their dog mascot. If they ever rebranded, they would want to keep this, as people may get upset and it is what they are known for. One thing that excites me about building a brand is that you can always change it and make it better. This is important to me, as businesses are always growing and changing and it’s important that your brand keeps up. One brand I really like is Target. I feel as if its logo is very effective, as it is simple and straight to the point. However, I do think it would be more effective to add an arrow to the target. I think this would add more of a pin-point on the store and make it read as “stop here” in a way.
