Overall Reaction:
I have watched this movie before this assignment, but it was nice to watch it with the perspective of a project. Pitch perfect left me feeling energized and impressed with how carefully every creative choice came together. The directors decision to balance sharp humor with authentic emotion gave the story real texture. It wasn’t just another college comedy, but a movie that understood all of the awkward, competitive and sometimes vulnerable side of finding your voice and finding your place. The actors brought so much to each character. You could tell each actor knew exactly who their character was, from the subtle facial expressions but the way they moved and presented themselves. By the end, I realized how much thought had gone into making the film feel natural while still hitting every emotional and comedic beat just right.
Characters:
Fat Amy:
A member of the Barden Bellas.
She is known for her bold personality and her confidence. She adds comedic relief to the entire film and has a genuine heart.
Fat Amy loves her friends in the Barden Bellas. She also loves being true to herself.
She is definitely motivated by self confidence. She likes to stand out and she is always there for her friends. I feel that she would maybe have her own podcast about self confidence and everyday things.

Bumper:
The captain of the TrebleMakers.
He has crazy confidence throughout the film, but can also be pretty full of himself. He likes to be the center of attention and he is very cocky.
I believe that he cares about his ego. He cares about fame and wanting to be the “star of the show”.
His need to be the center of attention and the star of everything is his driving factor. Bumper has his own sports sandal brand in the movie so I would think he would be some sort of entrepreneur. Or the star of a TV show.
Aubrey:
The captain of the Barden Bellas.
She is a control freak. She is deeply committed to keeping the Bellas traditions alive and enforces rules.
She definitely cares about reputation and success. She believes that hard work and structure are the only ways to achieve the Bellas excellence.
She is motivated by her strong need for control of everything. She has a deep fear of failure from a mishap that happened the year prior. Outside of the movie Aubrey would probably be in some sort of management position where she could have control of other people.
