I learned that a brand is more than just a logo, it’s a connection that the company builds with the audience. Its something that the audience can experience physically and visually . “Branding is a disciplined used to build awareness, attract new customers and extend customers loyalty.” What excites me about designing a brand is seeing a mix of ideas come into one and seeing it all unfold from the visuals aspects like social media to the physical aspects which depend on what type of brand it is. A brand I have always loved is Nike. Being an athlete growing up I have always remembered having Nike sneakers, cleats, basketball shoes, sports apparel, equipment you name it. Even now in college my jersey and all my gear is Nike and it’s some of my favorite pieces of clothing. The Nike swoosh logo is one of the most recognizable logos in the world. Its simplicity is what makes it so powerful. Even though the logo represents the athletic side really well I think it could do more to represent the community and inclusivity side of the brand.
