Write a Business Concept Post
Post Name: Chloe Businesses
Category: 04 Business Concept
Brainstorm 3-5 company ideas for each size of business — S/M/L — and briefly answer the following questions for each one:
What archetype (or archetypes) are your characters?
Caregiver & Lover
What is the name of the business?
Chloe Beale: Interpersonal Assistant
What is the size of the business?
Small, one person.
Who is the character?
Chloe Beale, a social extrovert who loves managing others’ difficult situations to avoid her own. She is gregarious and intelligent, a spreadsheet warrior, and coffee run extraordinaire.
How does the business relate to the character?
Chloe loves taking care of people and making sure that everyone is getting along. She enjoys making life easier for people, especially at her own expense. She will drop anything when there’s an issue, and is perfect for a personal assistant role.
What is the product or service?
An overly personal assistant. Basically a best friend who is paid to help you. She is a compliment machine, radiating positivity, and makes even the most difficult requests work.
Who is it for?
Upper class CEOs and managers of large companies. She manages schedules, bookings, meetings, appearances, and social media. She is WAY too good at her job.
What are the identity opportunities, touch points, applications?
Personal security, scheduling, empowerment, ease of mind, calming atmosphere, interpersonal.
What is the brand archetype (or two)?
When thinking about this imagine the applications (touch points) you are interested in. Do you want to do a product packaging design? The business should produce one. Interested in designing a mobile app? The business should have one. Menus for restaurants. Posters for an performance business and so on. What would that company need?
I want to design a personal assistant business that is calming but also cheery. I want people to look at the design aspects of this business and trust that their important tasks will be in the hands of someone capable. I also want to bring in a reassuring aspect in the sense of a therapeutic conversation, almost as if Chloe is a personal assistant and a therapist. Like a life coach who handles your meetings and calls. Your life is her life too now, and she will do her best to ensure a smooth workday for you.
Write a few sentence story of the business.
Chloe Beale recognized her innate ability of managing others’ crisis situations back in her college days. As someone who was heavily involved in Barden University’s all-female acapella group, the Barden Bellas, she found satisfaction and joy in managing all of the ins and outs of her club. She decided to carry this over to her business prospects after graduating with a BA in Communications. She started CB Interpersonal Assistance to become a personal assistant to a hotshot CEO (hopefully), being a life coach, therapist, receptionist, and personal assistant all in one.
