Stacie’s buisness

Brainstorm 3-5 company ideas for each size of business — S/M/L — and briefly answer the following questions for each one:

  1. What archetype (or archetypes) are your characters?

Lover and Entertainer

  1. What is the name of the business?

Stacie’s Dance Academy

  1. What is the size of the business?

Medium

  1. Who is the character?

Stacie is a queer woman who is unapologetic and is confident in her own skills. While she is very attractive and knows how to play the social game, she isn’t afraid to be bubbly and silly in front of others

  1. How does the business relate to the character?

When Stacie is on stage, she has very good stage presence, she’s very expressive in her body language and is even seen doing pirouettes during practice hours. She doesn’t back down from a challenge and will push her friends to break out of their shell. She kept the fact that she was queer hidden for a while but given how terrible she was at hiding it her friends still gave her support without saying anything.

  1. What is the product or service?

Services would be providing dance lessons of many different kinds and getting into huge dance competitions

  1. Who is it for?

Those who wanted to go into dance to improve their skills and find their dance style so they can participate in competitions, and offers a safe space for queer dancers

  1. What are the identity opportunities, touch points, applications?

Self-love, self-acceptance, expression, competitiveness in competition, community, pushing the boundaries

Story of the business

Growing up Stacie was a dancer, starting off with ballet before transitioning into other areas of dance. Due to her not getting a lot of attention at home she would try to get attention from people at school. Given how much she loved the attention especially from girls she would hook up with a lot of people, however given the times she would be seen with guys. After joining the Baren Bellas, she was able to find a community where she can be herself and started a relationship with one of the girls in the group so after graduating college with a degree in theater and dance, she decided to start up a dance academy, while competing in competitions making sure to offer that sense of community and support to its members.

When thinking about this imagine the applications (touch points) you are interested in. Do you want to do a product packaging design? The business should produce one. Interested in designing a mobile app? The business should have one. Menus for restaurants. Posters for an performance business and so on. What would that company need?

Posters and social media posts for competitions, the concept logos I have so far can be a good opportunity for merch like shirts, leg warmers, sports bag, maybe packaging for shoes but that’s a maybe???
