04 Business Ideation Post – Benji Applebaum

  1. What archetype (or archetypes) are your characters? Jester, innocent, and perhaps creator.
  2. What is the name of the business? Alchemy & Acapella
  3. What is the size of the business? Local
  4. Who is the character? Benji Applebaum
  5. How does the business relate to the character? Benji is very awkward at times, but when it comes to performance with magic and/or music, he really shines through. It seems to be one of his major passions. 
  6. What is the product or service? An open mic venue (karaoke, comedy, tricks, etc.)
  7. Who is it for? Anyone who enjoys performing in a small, low-key setting.
  8. What are the identity opportunities, touch points, and applications? This brand would help anyone who wants to start somewhere small and build their confidence or career. It also builds community and brings people together, and instead of rejecting someone (as seen with Benji throughout the film), they can start to embrace them for who they are—a positive and supportive crowd.
  9. What is the brand archetype (or two)? Jester, and magician

This brand would require designing a local venue that is easily memorable. This would include posters, logos, social media, and some food containers, as food should be available by default.
