This is my poster that I haven chosen to talk about for this post.
The top 3 Gestalt Principles at work in my poster are:
Common Region
- This is because a pattern and commonality exist between the distances of each piece in this poster, despite the varying sizes and weights.
Proximity
- Similar to the first principle, the proximity of each piece of the poster aligns with the others, creating a cohesive flow.
Symmetry/Order
- There is symmetry between the multiple levels of type; for example, the italic numbers are symmetrical with one another, along with the parallel blurbs of text on the sides of the poster being in line with each other diagonally.
The hierarchy of information in this poster is making the number be very big, while still bringing attention to the smaller text to create a narrative of giving feedback- perhaps through that number that is bolded on the bottom.
