images. It takes them out of isolation in the computer screen and places them in proximity to each other in a sequence. Our relationship to a printed page is different and printing presents challenges of optimizing the image to the printing device. In this assignment you will assemble a magazine that showcases your work creatively.<\/h3>\n<h2>01<br \/>\nOrganize your Files<\/h2>\n<p>Watch this 9 minute and 19 second video about how to organize your files before building your InDesign document. Things to remember:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Put source .PSD files in a <strong>PSD folder<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Keep exported .jpg \/ .png \/ .pdf in a <strong>folder called EXPORTS<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Put any original source photos used in your projects in a <strong>SOURCES folder<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>If you do not have .jpgs for all .PSD files then open each one up and export the .jpgs into the EXPORTS folder.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"organizing files\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bop8vrcC_gw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>It is important to organize your files before bringing them into inDesign because inDesign creates links to the files.
