05D – Title Sequence Animatic

When storyboards are broken down into discrete frames and each frame is placed on a timeline, the resulting animation is called an ANIMATIC.

Animatics are in essence ANIMATED STORYBOARDS.

Each frame of the animatic represents a specific scene in your animation, and each scene is adjusted to correspond with the intended duration of the final sequence. The main objective of an animatic is to lock down timing and pacing of the overall animation. Think of it as a blueprint (or a road map) for how the final animation will play out.

Simple camera moves can be added with transform properties to approximate rough movement in each frame. Animatics are extremely helpful in developing an animation and are commonly used on various projects from short commercials to feature films.
