Motion Gestures
For the text, growth and fades would be most appropriate. For the slug, slow but smooth movement, with the bottom of it kind of wiggling per frame, it is moving. The diamond can wiggle a little bit or just shimmer with light. The upper and lower tentacles would move and slightly sway as the slug moves. If the slug produces slime in the animation, it would be gooey and slightly sticky. Enough to have some unsettling texture/movement, but firm enough to either build the text or form around and interact with the text.
