02 Animated Pixels

Create a series of three animated GIFs using your choice of the pixel icons you designed. One of the icons must be your portrait. Bring each of them to life in believable and unexpected ways. Each animation must have at least 12 frames of animation.

Animated Pixels Post

  1. Export your pixel animations using Save For Web (legacy)
  2. Increase resolution to 128 x 128 pixels
  3. Name your files: [lastname]_animation_[icon name].gif
  4. Post your Animated .GIFs to the class web site.

Bring in a Figurine (or two)

Bring two small figurines to class. These should have presence and personality. Example figures could be made of wood, plastic, ceramic, or other non-porous material. Avoid plush toys or things with fine hair.

Example of poor choices
A Matryoshka doll is a bit simplistic and all its detail is painted and not sculptural. The troll has wispy hair.

If you don’t have one, Go get one!
Go buy one anywhere. If you need a unique or vintage toy figure you can try a local thrift store such as this one. Its just a block away:
